Our Service Rates

Pro Amp Solutions’ hourly service rate is $110. Our minimum service fee for amplifiers is $79. Our minimum service fee for pedals and guitar electronics is $49. We will provide an estimate of the work required and set expectations accordingly so that you can make an informed decision. Sometimes estimates need to be revised after work has begun. For example, once a power section is repaired, it may reveal and indicate more work is required to complete the service. Sometimes the nature of the work is very labor intensive and the cost to service your equipment may not be justified.

The Parts We Use

Pro Amp Solutions uses the finest components available and we are experienced at the proper use cases for each of the component types. For example, where and why to use a wire wound resistor vs a carbon or metal film resistor. We also have the capability to trace vacuum tube and MOSFET transconductance curves which is important when matching output tubes and critical when repairing solid state output stages. We hate to break it to you, but there is really no such thing as mojo. There is a scientific reason behind the tone you hear from your amplifier. The quality, value, and material composition of the components play an important role in the tone and reliability of your amplifier.

Shipping Recommendations

Please take care in shipping your equipment. Carefully remove and label vacuum tubes with their relative positions in the chassis. Bubble wrap tubes individually and then box them separately from the chassis using more bubble wrap – mark as FRAGILE/GLASS. Wrap the chassis in cardboard to protect the knobs, jacks, and switches, then add bubble wrap around the chassis and box it separately. Ship your equipment in good double corrugated cardboard box packed using foam, bubble wrap and newspapers – please do not use packing peanuts. Lastly, we suggest purchasing insurance from your carrier of choice.
